Econo Lodge Hotel of Calhan, Colorado Named Hotel of the Year

ROCHESTER, Minn., June 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Econo Lodge hotel in Calhan, Colorado - already recognized many times for its excellence - has taken home another major honor: the 2013 Hotel of the Year Award from Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH). General Manager Sudhir K. Patel accepted the award during the 59(th) Choice Hotels International Convention in Los Angeles. Choice Hotels is one of the world's largest hotel franchisors.

Every year, the Choice Hotels Owners Council presents the Hotel of the Year Award to a property that consistently demonstrates lodging excellence. Nominees for this prestigious award all rank among the top hotels within the brand.
