Choice Hotels Teams up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America
More than 75 volunteers to help renovate Virginia G. Piper branch on October 19

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest hotel companies, announced today a new relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. As the first event of this partnership in the Phoenix area, Choice Hotels volunteers, including several members of senior leadership, will renovate the Virginia G. Piper branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale on October 19, 2016.

The volunteer event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, with remarks from Choice Hotels' President and CEO, and former Boys & Girls Club member, Steve Joyce. Following his remarks, approximately 75 Choice Hotels volunteers from its Scottsdale, Arizona corporate headquarters, along with members from the local Boys & Girls Club, will participate in renovation activities including landscaping, installing new furniture and painting.

The Piper branch serves an average of 200 kids and teens ages 5-18 daily providing a safe place with adult mentors and high impact programming centered around healthy lifestyles, academic success, good character and career development.
