Chief Accounting Officer
Elizabeth Redmond is the Chief Accounting Officer for Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world’s largest and most successful lodging franchisors. In this role, she leads the company’s financial reporting, technical accounting, financial systems, and the company’s global accounting departments.
Throughout her tenure at Choice, Ms. Redmond has been instrumental in the company's success through leading enterprise-wide process reengineering efforts, implementing new complex accounting standards, and improving internal control structures and procedures. Ms. Redmond joined the company in 2007 and has held various key roles in the finance department, most recently serving as vice president of financial reporting and accounting.
Prior to joining Choice Hotels, Ms. Redmond held various accounting positions with Catalyst Health Solutions (NASDAQ: CHSI), a pharmacy benefit management company; United Payors & United Providers (NASDAQ: UPUP), a health-care services company specializing in operating financial and technology interfaces; and, in the audit and assurance practice at Deloitte.
Ms. Redmond is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration and Columbus State University, earning a master’s degree in business administration.
Ms. Redmond is a founding member of the Washington DC chapter of CHIEF, a networking community focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders and a former board member of the Washington Episcopal School and the Junior League of Washington.
