Chief Human Resources Officer
Patrick Cimerola is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the largest and most successful lodging franchisors in the world. In this role, Mr. Cimerola oversees Choice’s broad range of human resources programs and services, ensuring their alignment with the company’s core business objectives and strategic roadmap. He is also responsible for Choice’s sustainability initiatives and the Managed Hotel Division.
Mr. Cimerola has led transformational efforts across the organization covering diversity, compensation, succession planning and associate engagement to strengthen Choice’s value proposition and attract and retain top talent.
Mr. Cimerola champions an inclusive and performance-based workplace where all associates feel welcome, wanted and respected. Under his leadership, Choice has implemented numerous associate programs and resource groups dedicated to career development, networking, mentorship, cultural awareness and more. Mr. Cimerola joined Choice Hotels in 2002 as Senior Director of Human Resources and was promoted to his current leadership role in 2008. Prior to joining Choice, he served as Vice President for Human Resources with Capella Senior Living, LLC and Director of Human Resources with ManorCare, formerly the parent company of Choice Hotels.
Mr. Cimerola holds a Master of Business Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in finance from La Salle University.
