"It is a privilege to honor Mr. Joyce because he cares so deeply about the work of UJA-Federation, specifically our work around the issue of poverty," said Beth Rosenthal, associate director of Real Estate and Allied Trades at UJA-Federation of New York. "During a moving visit to the Educational Alliance's Project ORE, a beneficiary agency of UJA-Federation, he served lunch to homeless individuals and learned more about their lives."

"UJA-Federation practices the same personalized hands-on approach to community service as we do at Choice Hotels and truly makes a positive impact on people's lives," said Stephen P. Joyce, president and chief executive officer of Choice Hotels International. "I am humbled to be among the recipients of this award."
An active member of the lodging industry and business community, Mr. Joyce serves on a variety of boards and community organizations.
