In honor of National Waffle Day, the hotels invited groups who service their region to enjoy complimentary hot breakfasts, featuring the Comfort brand's free signature waffles.

The invitation was in honor of the Comfort brand's special annual National Waffle Day theme, "Say Thank You with Waffles." During the the week of August 17, 2015 through National Waffle Day on August 24, participating Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites hotels around the United States served waffles to various groups that make a difference in local communities as a way of showing gratitude with their griddles.

During this celebration, Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brand hotels in 43 states and Grand Cayman island in the Caribbean served an estimated 7,100 waffles and approximately 975 gallons of coffee. The only hotel brand to offer a flavored waffle option in addition to traditional plain, guests of Comfort brand hotels can potentially enjoy blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, spice, multi-grain and oatmeal almond when they sit down for their free Comfort brand signature hot breakfast. The "Say Thank You with Waffles" campaign took place during an exciting turning point for the Comfort brand, which is currently redefining itself across the board with a new look and feel for guests. The new brand tagline - "Rested. Set. Go." - captures the Comfort brand hotels' promise to help guests, whether they're traveling for business or leisure, feel refreshed and ready to take on the day. ROCKVILLE, Md., Aug. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Coast to coast, Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brand hotels, which are franchised by Choice Hotels Interational, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's leading hotel companies, were dripping with syrupy sweet appreciation for special members of their respective communities. In honor of National Waffle Day, the hotels invited groups who service their region to enjoy complimentary hot breakfasts, featuring the Comfort brand's free signature waffles.
The invitation was in honor of the Comfort brand's special annual National Waffle Day theme, "Say Thank You with Waffles." During the the week of August 17, 2015 through National Waffle Day on August 24, participating Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites hotels around the United States served waffles to various groups that make a difference in local communities as a way of showing gratitude with their griddles.
"Although we are in the travel business, the Comfort brand is also about establishing strong roots in the local communities we serve," said Anne Smith, vice president of brand strategy for Choice Hotels International. "This iconic brand has had incredible staying power because we understand the importance of doing more than just setting up shop in a town. That is the essence of hospitality, and our franchisees are excited to express their appreciation."
During this celebration, Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brand hotels in 43 states and Grand Cayman island in the Caribbean served an estimated 7,100 waffles and approximately 975 gallons of coffee. The only hotel brand to offer a flavored waffle option in addition to traditional plain, guests of Comfort brand hotels can potentially enjoy blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, spice, multi-grain and oatmeal almond when they sit down for their free Comfort brand signature hot breakfast. Blueberry is always a crowd-pleaser.
The "Say Thank You with Waffles" campaign took place during an exciting turning point for the Comfort brand, which is currently redefining itself across the board with a new look and feel for guests. The new brand tagline – "Rested. Set. Go." – captures the Comfort brand hotels' promise to help guests, whether they're traveling for business or leisure, feel refreshed and ready to take on the day. Hotels have already upgraded amenities to enhance the stay experience: they've augmented their free hot breakfast, introduced more overall wellness initiatives, flat-panel televisions and new bedding and pillows in all guest rooms throughout the domestic Comfort brand hotel portfolio.
